Explored the square - saw GUM store A famous shopping centre - all the designer names - we decided we did not have space for Gucci Apparel in our cases!!!
We Saw - Lennin’s tomb - Unknown Soldier - everlasting Flame guarded by very impressing you soldiers
A quick march back to the hotel in to discover one taxi had arrived to take 8 people and a dozen cases to the station a little negotiation got us sorted and we got to the station in drips and drops in plenty of time to board our sleeper for the long journey to Volgograd (18 Hours)
Quite a lot of manoeuvring to get us and luggage on board and squeezed into the sleeping compartments - who was on top was quickly decided in our compartment!!
Preparations for Monday were reviewed and we all made Paracord friendship bracelets under the watchful instructions of Jenny D Fist new skill learned!
We bought snacks in the station and ate them with tea on the train, served dinner in polystyrene at 6ish
